New to ACCJC Website?

If you are a new visitor to the website for the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, here are a few helpful hints:

The menu buttons at the top represent the most frequently requested pages of the site. These include assisting institutions in the substantive change process, providing the Eligibility Requirements and Standards of Accreditation, facilitating individuals' concerns about member institutions through a complaint process, presenting a list of institutions accredited by ACCJC, and serving as a repository of previous Commission newsletters.

The menu buttons on the left side are pages that have links to additional information such as documents, recent actions by the Commission, lists of Commission membership and staff, publications, workshops, etc. The "Site Map" button near the bottom of this list will help visitors locate precise information by viewing the website in "outline" form.

The Accredited Institutions section on the left features drop down boxes that identify the ACCJC region and list all the institutions accredited by this Commission. The Member Login section is currently under construction. Soon member institutions will be able to log in to complete and submit reports to the Commission directly through the website.

In the middle of the home page are three categories of visitors to the site organized by type: 1) institutions that hold accreditation by ACCJC 2) students 3) members of the public. Each category of visitor will find the information that is the most useful. Some information my have relevance to more than one category (i.e. a list of institutions accredited by ACCJC is in the student and the public categories).

At the bottom of the page are questions and answers about accreditation in general and ACCJC/WASC in particular, as well as a frequently updated "Announcements and Events" section that features current accreditation news.
