ACCJC has joined the Council of Recognized Accrediting Commissions (C-RAC) in a letter to congressional leaders expressing support for the College Transparency Act (CTA) and recommending targeted improvements to ensure accreditors have appropriate access to data necessary for quality assurance and institutional improvement. The letter highlights the importance of a more complete, timely, and accurate postsecondary data system that can better capture student outcomes, reduce duplicative reporting requirements, and improve transparency for students, families, policymakers, and institutions. ACCJC’s support is consistent with its commitment to accountability, evidence-based improvement, and the responsible use of data to strengthen student success and institutional effectiveness.
